Trump Faces Family Betrayal as Niece Reveals Stunning Evidence of His Disregard for Human Life

According to a report by Newsweek on Monday, June 17, 2024, Mary L. Trump, the niece of former President Donald Trump, unleashed a blistering critique of her uncle, branding him the “death candidate” for the 2024 presidential election. This stern rebuke follows a controversial Supreme Court ruling that has reignited the national debate over gun control.

The Supreme Court’s recent 6-3 decision, authored by Justice Clarence Thomas, overturned a federal ban on bump stocks—devices that enable semi-automatic rifles to fire at machine-gun rates. The ban was originally instituted by Donald Trump during his presidency in response to the 2017 Las Vegas shooting, where a gunman used bump stock-modified rifles to massacre 60 people and wound over 400 others in a span of 11 minutes.

Gun safety advocates have condemned the ruling, citing the horrific potential of such modifications to amplify mass shootings. Reacting to the court’s decision, Mary Trump expressed her dismay: “As horrified as I am by the court’s decision—and I am very horrified—I’m also grateful to them for making it so clear what the election in November is all about life or death. Friday’s decision—and Donald’s response to it—were powerful reminders that the leader of the Republican Party is the death candidate.”

Mary Trump criticized her uncle’s reaction to the ruling, portraying it as emblematic of his broader approach to gun violence. “Donald said he respects a court decision. Then he bragged about getting the NRA’s endorsement,” she noted, underscoring his failure to act decisively in the face of numerous mass shootings during his term, including the tragedies in Sutherland Springs, Parkland, and El Paso.

Her criticism extends beyond gun rights to encompass Donald Trump’s management of the COVID-19 pandemic. In March 2020, as the United States grappled with becoming the epicenter of the global pandemic, then-President Trump downplayed the severity of the crisis, despite mounting cases and overwhelmed hospitals.

He assured the public of the government’s effective mobilization and success, even as the virus wreaked havoc across the nation. Mary Trump highlighted the grim outcomes of his pandemic response: “In excess of 400,000 Americans died of COVID because of his incompetence and malicious inaction,” she asserted.

She accused her uncle of prioritizing television ratings and golf outings over the escalating public health crisis, which resulted in thousands of American deaths daily. Furthering her critique, Mary Trump charged the former president with inciting violence for personal gain. She referenced his anti-vaccine rhetoric and the inflammatory language she believes contributed to rising extremism.

Despite these allegations, Trump and his legal team have consistently denied any responsibility for the January 6th Capitol riots. During his second impeachment trial, Trump’s lawyers argued that his speech on January 6th did not meet the criteria for criminal incitement and was protected under the First Amendment.

They claimed that Trump’s call for peaceful protest and condemnation of violence negated the assertion that he incited the riot. The defense also accused Democrats of leveraging impeachment out of “political hatred” and engaging in “constitutional cancel culture,” challenging the credibility of the evidence presented by the impeachment managers.

In her closing remarks, Mary Trump did not mince words about the stakes of the upcoming election: “The harsh reality is that Donald is a serious national security threat to the American people,” she wrote. “This is a life-or-death election. And my uncle is the death candidate.” Mary Trump concluded her impassioned message with a call to action: “Let’s choose life, shall we?”
