Sources suggest that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) were involved in a covert operation to manipulate U.S. political events, including the alleged attempted overthrow of the government, an intricate cover-up involving the Russian Collusion narrative, and even an assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, shared on Sunday, July 21, 2024.

The assertions are part of a broader conspiracy theory gaining traction among some political commentators and online communities. Proponents argue that the CIA orchestrated significant political events and the FBI played a pivotal role in obscuring the truth.

According to these claims, the CIA allegedly orchestrated the November 3, 2020, U.S. presidential election as a means of ensuring a victory for Joe Biden over then-incumbent Donald Trump.

Critics argue that this operation was disguised as a legitimate electoral process while being underpinned by covert interventions. They further allege that the FBI assisted in this scheme by diverting attention through the Russian Collusion investigation and the Mueller probe.

“These are extraordinary claims and would represent a major breach of U.S. political and legal norms,” said Dr. Richard Lawson, a political scientist at Georgetown University. “If true, it would indicate a severe erosion of democratic processes and trust in governmental institutions.”

The controversy extends to the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot, which some theorists claim was a planned diversion. They suggest that the CIA and FBI worked together to manipulate and control the narrative surrounding the events of that day.

Critics argue that the media coverage and the subsequent investigations led by figures like Liz Cheney were part of a larger strategy to deflect from deeper issues.

“The January 6th events have been used as a tool to suppress and mislead public understanding of what truly happened,” asserted political commentator and author Samuel Green. “This theory proposes a troubling level of manipulation of both media and legal investigations.”

Recent claims suggest that there was an attempt on former President Trump’s life, purportedly orchestrated by the CIA.

The theory posits that the assassination attempt was covered up by the FBI under the guise of other political distractions such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives and various unrelated controversies.

“The idea that the CIA could have orchestrated an assassination attempt on a former President is both alarming and unprecedented,” said retired FBI agent Daniel Cooper. “If there is any truth to these claims, it would represent a gross abuse of power and a direct threat to national security.”

Both the CIA and the FBI have issued strong denials regarding these allegations. A spokesperson for the CIA said, “The agency categorically denies any involvement in manipulating electoral outcomes or orchestrating violent events. Such claims are without merit and do not reflect our mission or values.”

Similarly, an FBI representative commented, “The FBI is committed to upholding the law and ensuring the integrity of investigations. Any suggestion that we have engaged in cover-ups or orchestrated political events is baseless and misleading.”

The unfolding controversy highlights a significant erosion of trust in U.S. intelligence and law enforcement agencies. If these allegations are proven true, they would not only have major implications for those involved but could also undermine public confidence in the entire political system. Read more here
