Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday night responded to Donald Trump after the former president attacked him at a rally in Pennsylvania earlier in the week.
“He’s one of the dumbest human beings ever,” Trump complained. “What a dope.”
“Isn’t that sweet?” Kimmel said. “He’s confusing me with one of his sons again.”
Trump also mentioned Kimmel’s wife, writer/producer Molly McNearney.
“Should I be worried that Trump has mentioned my wife more times at his rallies this year than his own?” Kimmel asked, a reference to Melania Trump’s absence from her husband’s public appearances.
The former president spent part of his rally griping about Kimmel’s zinger at the Academy Awards more than six months ago.
“He’s still stewing over this joke,” Kimmel noted with amazement. “He keeps bringing it up.”
But Trump botched the punchline when he spoke in Pennsylvania.
“I think he said something like, ‘ha ha ha, he thinks he bothers me,’ or some crap like that,” Trump said.
Trump during the Oscars fired off an angry rant on Truth Social complaining about Kimmel as the host ― and Kimmel hit back by reading the post live on the air, adding that he was surprised Trump was still awake and watching.
“Isn’t it past your jail time?” Kimmel cracked in what would be come one of the most viral moments of the event.
Kimmel on Tuesday night said he wished Trump would quote it correctly and played the clip again as a reminder.
“Listen, I know your cognitive abilities are declining faster than the price of Truth Social stock, so, if it helps, I’m happy to send you one of the many products commemorating what I said to you that night at the Academy Awards,” Kimmel offered.
Then, he showed off a wide range of the “Isn’s It Past Your Jail Time?” merch that has sprung up since the event, including mugs, shirts and hats.

And since Trump mentioned McNearney, she came out as well with an even more blunt response for the former president.
