Meghan Markle’s Independent Path Diverging from UK Popularity While Prince Harry Finds Happiness
Meghan Markle’s potential return to the UK is predicted to be an unsuccessful venture, according to royal expert Jennie Bond. The Duchess of Sussex, currently living in California with her husband Prince Harry and their two children, is warned that her reintegration into British public life could be difficult following the couple’s exit from royal duties in 2020.
In an interview with The Sun, Jennie Bond explained, “I think Meghan has her own independent style and way of life. Yes, it’s not in tune with the people in the UK.” Bond highlighted the cultural and personal differences that may prevent Meghan from being warmly received should she return. “She’s not popular and I don’t think she wants to come back, and therefore they are going their own ways, to an extent. But I hope and believe that Harry is very happy in his life.”
While Meghan has maintained a life away from the royal spotlight in California, Prince Harry has made more frequent solo visits to the UK, sparking speculation about his attempts to reconnect with his royal roots. Harry’s return to Britain, particularly without Meghan by his side, has fueled rumors that he may be trying to re-establish his ties with the Royal Family. However, Meghan’s absence on these trips suggests she may not share the same interest in rekindling those connections.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made global headlines in 2020 when they stepped down from their royal roles and moved to the United States. Their decision, often referred to as “Megxit,” came with public criticisms of the Royal Family, including accusations of racism towards their son, Prince Archie. Since then, the couple has continued to live in California, where they have focused on various media and philanthropic projects. They also welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet, into their family.
As Prince Harry navigates his relationship with his royal heritage and Meghan remains distant from UK affairs, royal watchers are left wondering what the future holds for the couple. For now, it seems Meghan’s return to the UK is unlikely to be embraced by the public, according to experts like Jennie Bond, who believe the cultural rift may be too deep to mend.
