Lara Trump Gets Roasted After Announcing New Athleisure Line – Fans Can’t Stop Mocking!
Lara Trump — Republican National Committee co-chair, daughter-in-law to the first convicted felon ever to be elected president and possible future senator of Florida — had exciting news to share this week: athleisure.
The RNC co-chair, wife to Eric Trump, announced the LT Brand by Lara Trump Collection on Instagram on Wednesday.
“Isn’t just activewear—it’s a celebration of strength, resilience, and patriotism,” Lara Trump explained. “Designed for women from all walks of life, it’s made for the achievers, the go-getters, and those striving to be their best every single day.”
President-elect Donald Trump’s campaign spokesperson professed herself to be thrilled.
“Oh my gosh I’m so excited for this,” Karoline Leavitt replied on Instagram. On Bluesky, users were less stoked.
“Lara Trump is now selling her own line of athleisure wear,” right-wing watchdog group Patriot Takes wrote. “It never stops.”
“What happened to being senator from Florida?” asked writer Oeishik . Replied one Bluesky user, “She is a multitasker, apparently.”
Another Bluesky user dubbed Trump’s athleisure line “Looney Lemon.”
“Top end prices, quality of Temu,” quipped comedian Jay Lionel . “Trump diapers next.”
Kara Voght , political features writer for the Washington Post, shared the news with X followers with a telling question mark.
“RNC co-chair (and perhaps future Florida senator?) Lara Trump has just launched a line of activewear,” she wrote.
This was not the first time Lara Trump’s fashion has been subjected to ridicule on social media. New Yorker humorist Paul Rudnick began 2024 with a quick jab at the woman he commonly refers to as ” the dumbest Trump .”
Rudnick shared images of Lara Trump wearing evening gowns and suggested they had been designed by “a mean gay child,” “someone fired from Holiday On Ice,” “whoever told her to marry Eric” or a “Project Runway contestant assigned to ‘Sew a bridesmaid’s dress using items from the Bed Bath & Beyond going-out-of-business sale.'”
On Tuesday, Rudnick also raised concerns about Lara Trump’s qualifications to claim the position left vacant by Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, tapped by Trump to be his next secretary of state .
“Lara, the Dumbest Trump, wants to be the senator from Florida,” wrote Rudnick. “Her qualifications: – Can juggle old body parts – Can hold a Rubik’s cube – Answers when Trump calls her ‘Laura’ – Thought the directions on her Roomba were the Constitution – Dated a Roomba – Married a Roomba.”
