We Should Have Could Have Seen It Coming

Surprised but not surprised. Started in less than a week. The man holds a grudge longer than I do. He just can’t let things go. It’s all about him. Absolute immunity. Ab-so-damn-lute immunity. He can do anything now – and is. You can run but you can’t hide. Absolute immunity.

Here we go! As CNN said: “How Trump used his first week to exact political retribution”. Yay. Let’s start with the gazillion Executive Orders, a number of which were MAJOR changes in the way our country is run.

As I’ve mentioned before, closing the southern border, then ICE raids, but! Migrants have been “sent home” all of the time. This one is just a game show to see how much he can bend the news and public opinion by what is (and isn’t!) in the news. He has to make VERY sure everyone thinks he is following through on his campaign promise(s). *snort* Yea, right.

The retribution started right away, like pulling all the Secret Service details from a number of people who are under legitimate threats. I’ve spoken about this before, but good gods how low can you go? Comes right back to the “me” and all the imagined slights of these people.

Oy. There was no need to do this. Considering the budget for the SS and more, it was *only* to be petty and cruel. He’s also revoked security clearances from his critics. AhHA! More information of the clearances – they were for the 51 former intelligence officials who signed a 2020 letter stating that emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop carried “all the earmarks of a Russian Information Operation”.

Huh. Of course, the Mango Mandarin can’t let go of the “Russia, Russia, Russia HOAX, either. He’s still pulling that one out today *yawn* Now what I’ve been waiting for has finally shown up. He thinks Joe Biden should have pardoned himself before he left office. I’m not even sure you can *do* that.

I’ll have to go dig and see what else I can find on this. It’s rather an interesting question, actually. But back to the (current) story. He’s “teasing” (yea right, again) about doing wide-ranging investigations to Biden and the many others who criticized him after he left office in his first term.

Yup, here we go! You knew it was coming, right? He’s also unhappy with the presumptive pardons Joe did before he left office, for Liz Cheney specifically, but also many others. Can’t let these go either. They hurt his fee-fee and he doesn’t cope well with that sort of thing. Sheesh!

Well, I should learn to read the news more closely. He already did it. “On his first day in office, Trump issued an executive order directing his Justice Department and Office of the Director of National Intelligence to open broad investigations into Biden administration “weaponization” of law enforcement and intelligence agencies.”

How in the hell is “weaponization” defined, anyhow? That’s not just broad, but super broad. As we’ve seen, there’s no system of checks and balances with that, because he’s pretty much given them the ability to do anything they want. Do we have anyone with morals in his JD? I suppose that’s too much to hope for but I’m still going to hope.

And this is just a very small section of all the Confused Carrot has done already. There probably isn’t enough information publicly available for the first 100 Executive Orders. Damn. Damn, damn, damn. We could use a better idea of all the changes he’s made thus far, and it hasn’t even been a full week yet. 1454 (I think) days and counting.
