“Conservative Makes Bold Prediction: What Will Happen When Mark Robinson Loses?”

After CNN reported Thursday that North Carolina GOP gubernatorial candidate Mark Robinson “made a series of inflammatory comments on a pornography website’s message board more than a decade ago, in which he referred to himself as a ‘black NAZI!’ and expressed support for reinstating slavery.”

One well-respected political expert — University of Virginia Center for Politics founder and director Larry Sabato — predicted the far-right lieutenant governor could completely doom his campaign — and Donald Trump’s.

Conservative commentator Erick Erickson offered his prediction via X.

“Mark Robinson won’t drop out. His supporters will say it’s old or a lie,” Erickson wrote.

“He will lose. Then they will complain that Republicans aren’t willing to do what it takes to win like the Democrats who pushed their candidate out of the presidential race.”

Sabato said “his team has held an ‘emergency session‘ to review the report and is moving its prediction for governor of North Carolina from ‘Lean Democratic’ to ‘Likely Democratic’:
