Courts Dismiss Frivolous Lawsuits, But Trump Has 132 Of Them. Trump Judicial War?

Agent Orange has asked his in-tRump’s-pocket Attorney General to find the frivolous lawsuits against his administration so he can sign Executive Orders against them. Now isn’t this *interesting*? According to another website, there are currently 132 lawsuits in progress against his rule, mostly, from what I remember, dealing with unconstitutional actions. 132.
That’s a lot of frivolity! How come we don’t get to join in on the fun? Oh, right, never mind, they’re against the administration and we don’t have that kind of power (yet, ha). Doesn’t he happen to be the King of those? How about the ones against ABC and CBS? ABC settled, gah, as part of a “defamation” lawsuit. Then he said he had to sue other networks because they were “very corrupt”.
As if he had room to talk! And here’s what was happening with CBS: The specifics hinge on an editorial choice made by the network. In previewing last fall’s interview with Harris on Face The Nation, CBS used a different portion of her answer to a question about Israel than it used in the lengthier broadcast on 60 Minutes. Trump and his conservative allies alleged that the network had edited the answer to mask her incompetence in an act of partisan bias.
(Trump pulled out of an interview with the show, a tradition with presidential candidates.) Sooooooo … what the hell? This one is such a bunch of malarkey, and they are also thinking about settling. I wish they wouldn’t but it may be the better choice for them. I’m sure there is more going on in the background that I don’t know about. This case is widely seen as lacking merit. But again, what’s in the background we don’t know about.
But wait, there’s more! He is also suing Bob Woodward, with whom he sat for a bunch of interviews. He’s suing the people behind the Pulitzers. And he’s suing the recently retired pollster for The Des Moines Register for getting that poll wrong just days before the election. He thinks the press is corrupt just like our elections. Again, what the hell?
But the lawsuits against his administration, that we know of, because I can only think of a few, are the last thing in frivolity. Unconstitutionality is a serious thing. And for right now, at least, he is NOT above the law, no matter how he tries to do an end-run around it. He wasn’t happy with Chief Justice Roberts, for sure. He may not feel he’s bound by the Constitution but judges are apolitical.
*They* swear an oath to the Constitution and THEY follow it. Doesn’t matter who it is. They know a whole lotta stuff and they study for years before they start practicing and they continue to keep studying in hopes of being either a better lawyer or become a judge. Don’t quote me on that since it’s been a long, long time ago that I talked to a lawyer but I think that is correct.
So the thought of the King of Frivolous Lawsuits is now on a hunt for the very same things just makes me laugh. I think he has the stupid thought of trying to do a lawyer or judge’s form of primarying, and that just won’t work. Have fun with your EOs, dude, because they don’t matter because, y’know, the Constitution. THAT is serious.
