Don Jr. Attacks Maine Governor: Get’s LIT in Response, ‘Here’s Your Dad on Stage’

For reasons that most adults will forever ponder with childlike wonder, Donald Trump felt the need to get into it a bit last week with Maine Governor Janet Mills over transgender rights.
The exchange between Trump and Mills – a necessary predicate to Don Jr. getting nailed on X – centered on Trump’s February 5th executive order aimed at barring transgender athletes from competing in girls’ and women’s sports under his administration’s interpretation of Title IX—defining “sex” as biological sex assigned at birth, not gender identity. Per Grok’s rundown:
Trump singled out Mills, asking if Maine would comply. Maine’s Principals’ Association had already said it wouldn’t, citing the state’s Human Rights Act, which protects against gender identity discrimination. Mills replied she’d follow “state and federal law,” implying resistance to Trump’s order. Trump pushed back, saying, “We are the federal law,” and threatened to cut Maine’s federal funding if it didn’t fall in line.
Mills shot back, “We’re going to follow the law, sir. We’ll see you in court.” Trump welcomed the challenge, saying, “Good, I’ll see you in court. I look forward to that. That should be a real easy one,” and added a jab: “Enjoy your life after governor because I don’t think you’ll be in elected politics.”
That is Donald Trump for you, having to have the last shot. Though the media made a big deal out of Mills standing up to Trump, she primarily just held her ground, saying the minimum. She did well. But it sure became a thing.
That is a member of Congress ladies and gentlemen! And that’s also the single greatest “own” available across all the land right now. Brought to you as a service from Zoom! It took a bit to set up but I promised you the best on X and we delivered. That was sensational. “And here’s your dad… ”
