During an appearance on Fox News’ Gutfeld! on Wednesday, former President Donald Trump made headlines by claiming he knows pilots “better than Tom Cruise,” when asked about the existence of aliens at Area 51. Fox News panelist Kat Timpf posed the unusual question, asking Trump if there were aliens at the secretive military base. Trump acknowledged that he frequently gets asked about UFOs but said, “I don’t think I’m a believer.” told by Yahoo.
He then recounted conversations with Air Force pilots, stating that they had seen unexplained flying objects moving at speeds four times faster than their F-22 jets. The comment about knowing pilots better than Tom Cruise raised eyebrows, as it was unclear whether Trump was referring to Cruise’s real-life flying skills (he’s a licensed pilot) or his portrayal of a fighter pilot in Top Gun.
The conversation took a playful turn when Fox panelist Tyrus asked if Trump would put tariffs on aliens if they visited from outer space.
