Former President Donald Trump will likely be among fellow travelers in Tuscaloosa, Alabama tonight during a primetime college football game. However, Vice President Kamala Harris is planning to make a very visible statement via airplane while Trump is in the building.

The Washington Post reported that Harris is planning to fly a banner over Bryant-Denny stadium that reads “Trump’s punting on 2nd debate” during the marquee matchup between the #4 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs, who are currently ranked #2 in the country. The vice president is also planning on running an ad during the game that millions of viewers at home across the country will see.

“Winners never back down from a challenge. Champions know it’s anytime, anyplace,” the narrator says in the ad, over footage of Trump missing a golf putt. “But losers, they whine and waffle and take their ball home.”

The ad then issues a direct challenge to Trump to accept a second debate with Harris in the final weeks of the election — despite the former president saying multiple times that he would not participate in another debate with the vice president.

“Well, Donald, I do hope you’ll reconsider to meet me on the debate stage,” Harris says in the ad. “If you’ve got something to say, say it to my face.”

Harris’ call-out to Trump notably comes just before the vice presidential debate between Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) and Minnesota Democratic Governor Tim Walz, which will air on Tuesday night at 9 PM Eastern Time. Puck News reported recently that Trump is weighing whether to debate Harris again depending on how Vance performs next week.

“If it’s so boring, or if JD loses, Trump may want to have another lick,” an unnamed Trump advisor told Puck.

Harris has been calling on Trump to debate her again since their September 10 meeting on ABC News. Even though the former president has insisted he won the debate, he is also fuming at ABC News for moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis’ fact-checks and has suggested he would revoke the network’s broadcast license if he’s elected to a second term.

Additionally, Puck reported that Trump is contemplating a lawsuit against Muir for his treatment of the GOP nominee during the debate. However, the former president posted to Truth Social that while he “should sue” the anchor, he won’t because he’s “too busy winning the election.”

The battle between the two unbeatens in the Southeastern Conference will likely be the highest-viewed game of the week. Kickoff is at 7:30 PM Eastern Time.
