King Charles has reportedly taken a decisive stance against his youngest son, Prince Harry, effectively cutting him off from the royal fold, according to royal commentator Nathan Kay. In an article for the Daily Express, Kay emphasized the monarchy’s strategic decision to distance itself from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, viewing it as crucial for maintaining the institution’s stability.

Kay praised this “ice them out” approach, stating, “The royal family’s decision to adopt an ‘ice them out’ approach to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has proven not only to be effective but essential for the preservation of the monarchy’s integrity.” He highlighted how this calculated move serves as a permanent shift, signifying the final break in Harry’s relationship with the royal family.

According to Kay, this strategy solidifies the royal family’s unity and reaffirms their commitment to upholding a dignified public image. He explained, “The royal family carried on, showing unity in their carefully curated public image,” which in his view, sent a strong message about the family’s priorities.

One of the most telling moments came during King Charles’ first Christmas address, which pointedly excluded any direct mention of Prince Harry. Instead, the King focused on the themes of service and duty, subtly leaving behind the ongoing drama between the royals and the Sussexes. “King Charles, in his first Christmas address, made no direct reference to his youngest son, instead emphasizing service and duty, leaving behind the constant reminder of royal rifts,” Kay noted.

This public silence has been interpreted as a clear signal that the monarchy is moving forward without Prince Harry in a significant role. Kay sees it as a permanent shift, remarking, “It was a subtle, yet powerful message,” and that over the past year, the royal family has “fully embraced the ‘ice them out’ strategy.”

Royal author Tom Bower also shared a similar view about Prince Harry’s current situation. In his commentary, Bower stated, “During his first six months in the States, Harry found everything new and exciting, but the glamour is definitely wearing off.”

The “ice them out” approach appears to be a key part of the royal family’s long-term strategy for maintaining unity and protecting the monarchy’s image, even if it means leaving Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on the outside.
