“Lindsey Graham Shocks With Claim: Trump Calls Kamala Harris ‘Mentally Impaired’ Over Her ‘Bats–t Crazy’ Policies!”
Sen. Lindsey Graham dismissed criticism of former President Donald Trump calling Vice President Kamala Harris “mentally impaired” — because he thinks her policies are “bats–t crazy.”
“I just think she’s crazy liberal. I don’t question her [mental faculties],” Graham (R-SC) told CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday when asked about Trump’s rhetoric the previous day at a rally.
“I just think the better course to take is to prosecute the case that her policies are destroying the country. They’re crazy liberal,” he said, before rattling off a list of policy grievances.
“I’m not saying she’s crazy. I’m saying your party, your policies are bats–t crazy.”
Graham also noted that Democrats have repeatedly made similar attacks on Trump in the past.
“They call him crazy. [Rep. Nancy] Pelosi wanted to invoke the 25th Amendment. Why don’t you ever talk about that?” Graham asked host Jake Tapper of the hypocrisy.
Trump, 78, had blasted Harris, 59, as “mentally impaired” at the Saturday rally while riffing on the Harris-Biden administration’s record on illegal immigration.
“Joe Biden became mentally impaired, Kamala was born that way. She was born that way,” he sniped. “And if you think about it, only a mentally disabled person could have allowed this to happen to our country.”
Harris had trekked down to the US-Mexico border during a swing through Douglas, Arizona last Friday, marking her second such border visit, with the first one taking place in El Paso, Texas in June 2021.
Just ahead of the vice president’s first visit to the border since 2021, fresh data from US Immigration and Customs Enforcement revealed that over 425,431 noncitizens who are not in its detention facilities were convicted criminals, including 222,141 with charges pending.
Of that group, were 13,099 convicted of a homicide, 62,231 of assault, 56,533 of drug-related crimes, and 14,301 of burglary, according to the dataset.
Notably, that dataset references noncitizens who entered the country through any administration and it includes people who are detained in prison.
Trump had fumed at Harris’ record on the border, pointing to that data from ICE, and contended that it rises to the level of impeachment for “high crimes and misdemeanors.”
“If a Republican did what she did, that Republican would be impeached and removed from office. And rightfully so for high crimes and misdemeanors,” he added in the speech.
Recently, the Trump-Vance campaign has lashed out at Democrats’ rhetoric against Trump, particularly the pols who have branded the 45th president as a threat to democracy, amid the two high-profile assassination attempts against him.
Graham also opined on the latest developments in the Middle East, including Israel’s strike in Beirut on Friday that Hezbollah later confirmed killed its notorious longtime boss Hassan Nasrallah and other top leaders.
“Nobody in Israel is even talking to the Biden administration. The Biden administration is paralyzed by fear of Iran. In the name of not escalating, the world is on fire,” Graham argued.
“I promise you, if Trump does win, we’re going to fix this pretty quick.”
