Major Trump Nomination at Risk? GOP Senator Issues Dire Warning!

A key Cabinet pick for President Donald Trump appears to be in “jeopardy,” a Republican senator warned Wednesday.
Former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard was nominated for the position of director of national intelligence but has faced swirling questions over her controversial stances, such as her warmth towards Russian President Vladimir Putin and longtime Syrian ruler Bashar al-Assad, as well as her distinct lack of background in intelligence.
On Wednesday, a Republican senator told Semafor her nomination for the position is up in the air .
“There are very serious concerns by enough members to put her nomination in jeopardy,” the senator, who was not identified, told the outlet.
Another Republican senator said she “has a lot of questions to answer.”
Even so, two more people close to the White House told Semafor that Trump’s advisers are still backing Gabbard. The president has also reportedly urged her to become more aggressive.
“She’s got to prove herself,” a White House source told the outlet.
