Meghan Markle ‘planning’ new strategy as Prince Harry relives ‘old times’
Prince Harry appears to be thriving in his charitable endeavors, even as he continues his work without his wife, Meghan Markle, by his side. Recently, Harry has been making solo appearances in both the UK and South Africa, focusing on his personal initiatives and causes.
According to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, Meghan and Harry may be exploring a new approach to their public engagements. “Perhaps this is part and parcel of a new strategy as Meghan develops her cooking side on Netflix, and Harry does more solo work,” Fitzwilliams suggested during an interview with GB News.
He also hinted that something bigger could be on the horizon for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. “They’ve been uncontroversial and he hasn’t given any interviews,” he said, adding, “Perhaps something is being planned that we are unaware of.”
Harry’s recent schedule has been packed. After attending the WellChild Awards in the UK, where he has been a longtime supporter for 15 years, the Duke of Sussex traveled to South Africa. There, he made a memorable appearance as he passionately highlighted the ongoing work of his charity, Sentebale, which he co-founded with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho. The charity focuses on supporting children and young adults affected by HIV/AIDS.
“It’s been very interesting,” Fitzwilliams observed, reflecting on Harry’s recent engagements. “In New York, he was there for several days, and then he was in London for the WellChild Awards. And he’s been involved with that for 15 years, so it was rather like old times to see the way he acted with the children, with the families, and so forth.”
Fitzwilliams also noted that Harry’s solo ventures have been well-received and marked a return to the kind of work he was engaged in when he was still a senior working royal. “It’s very interesting to see Harry involved in charitable activities, all of them solo, and they have all gone tremendously well,” Fitzwilliams said, highlighting the success of Harry’s recent efforts.
As Harry continues to advocate for causes close to his heart, such as HIV/AIDS awareness, his solo appearances seem to signal a new phase in his public life. With Meghan focused on her projects back in the U.S., it appears that the couple may be carving out distinct paths for themselves, each continuing their philanthropic efforts in their own unique way.
