Trump Primal Truth-Screams at SCOTUS After Major Ruling Against Him

Donald Trump has had such a bad day that he’s already primal-tweeted about Bruce Springsteen’s return to the United States (“We’ll see how that goes!”) and Taylor Swift – who is “not hot” anymore. Now it turns out that the SCOTUS can also draw “hot” ire from a brooding president, one who was backed into a corner by seven justices in a loss today concerning the Alien Enemies Act. The “seven” include all three Trump justices.
Today, the SCOTUS ruled that the Trump administration had to stop transporting people out of the country under the 1798 Alien Enemies Act – the act that would otherwise allow the administration to grab people and remove them fast with almost no due process or evidence. Trump, of course, considers this an invitation to violent criminals everywhere and let the SCOTUS know exactly what he believes – but did it a bit like a baby.
“THE SUPREME COURT WON’T ALLOW US TO GET CRIMINALS OUT OF OUR COUNTRY!” he exclaimed.
NO, Trump. The administration still has dozens of ways to get people “out of the country” who don’t belong here, never mind criminals. But again, those other means are messy in that there are more processes to ensure that mistakes aren’t made. Regardless, onward.
And if you think that Trump was done, well – he was not. In a second post, Trump wrote:
The Supreme Court has just ruled that the worst murderers, drug dealers, gang members, and even those who are mentally insane, who came into our Country illegally, are not allowed to be forced out without going through a long, protracted, and expensive Legal Process, one that will take, possibly, many years for each person, and one that will allow these people to commit many crimes before they even see the inside of a Courthouse.
Okay. Hang on right there momentarily. We can debate the definition of “mentally insane” people all day long. But being so is not a crime, nor inherently dangerous or even bad. Only Donald Trump would put those who suffer from mental illness behind “murderers” and drug dealers. Anyway, he went on:
The result of this decision will let more CRIMINALS pour into our Country, doing great harm to our cherished American public. It will also encourage other criminals to illegally enter our Country, wreaking havoc and bedlam wherever they go.
There is exactly zip, nada, nothing, about this ruling that says a thing about whether the United States can remove these people under another statute. If they are here illegally, remove them legally if they must. If they are here legally and are bad guys? Then, put them in one of our jails after proving how bad they are. It isn’t hard. Moving on:
The Supreme Court of the United States is not allowing me to do what I was elected to do. Sleepy Joe Biden allowed MILLIONS of Criminal Aliens to come into our Country without any “PROCESS” but, in order to get them out of our Country, we have to go through a long and extended PROCESS.
Yeah. See, that’s the thing about the United States. If the government is going to round a person up, especially a brown person, and send them out of the country, it is best to make real sure that the government has the right people under the right conditions, lest it restrain an American citizen or something and take them away. The long process is baked in as a feature, not a bug. But Trump knows who the smart justices are:
In any event, thank you to Justice Alito and Justice Thomas for attempting to protect our Country. This is a bad and dangerous day for America!
Yeah. I guess. But not really, not a bad day. There are seven justices firmly aligned against Trump on this, and those include all three Trump justices. I realize there is little about the SCOTUS that excites us, but at least all three had no qualms about ruling against Trump when the subject moved them. Perhaps they will try to maintain their relevancy by continuing to keep the administration in check. The way this presidency is going, that is the only way that the SCOTUS could maintain an important role. If only Congress were watching.
But there is little doubt that Trump is furious over this ruling, and one can rest assured that Trump noted the 7-2 number while also losing all three of “his” justices. If this is an indication of a court that believes it must rise and meet Trump and beat him back at nearly every turn, well – good, again – I guess. Knock themselves out.
We know Trump will hyperventilate himself “out” while tweeting in the middle of what would otherwise be a workday. Nothing new except a critical loss, one that constitutes a win for many people (Many brown people) against the powerful Trump administration. It is something.
