“Trump Slammed: ‘Senility is Real’ After Confusing Comments That Make No Sense!”
During a town hall in Flint, Michigan on Tuesday, Donald Trump said Bagram — which is an airbase in Afghanistan — is currently in Alaska.
Speaking with a moderator, Republican Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the ex-president was speaking on energy policy when he said, “We have Bagram in Alaska. They say it might be bigger than Saudi Arabia. I got it approved.”
Several political experts had no idea what the MAGA hopeful was talking about. One journalist, Justin Baragona, wrote: “The thing is, you can’t even really give him the benefit of the doubt that he just confused two things that sound a bit alike. ANWR [Arctic National Wildlife Refuge] and Bagram aren’t similar phonetically at all.”
The Atlantic’s Tom Nichols replied: “They say it might be bigger than Saudi Arabia, they also say it’s in Afghanistan, not Alaska.”
Neera Tanden, director of the United States Domestic Policy Council commented: “Just wondering all those decoding VP Harris’ every syllable are going to give us their analysis of this.”
Lawyer Bradley P. Moss added: “Senility is a real thing, folks.”
